Compatibility & Fitment

• Will this mount fit my specific truck year and model?
  We design our mounts to be vehicle-specific for a perfect fit. Please use our "Shop by Vehicle" menu to find the exact match for your truck’s make, model, and year range. If you don't see your vehicle listed, feel free to contact us—we are constantly developing new fits.
• What if I have custom door panels or aftermarket trim?
  Our mounts are designed based on OEM (factory) door specifications. If you have significant aftermarket modifications to your interior door panels, please reach out to us with a photo before ordering so we can verify fitment.
• Will the Sidekick work with my specific rifle or shotgun?
  The Sidekick is designed to be universal for most standard hunting rifles and shotguns. It is built to provide enough clearance for large optics (scopes) and different stock shapes.

SxS & Round Tube Compatibility

• What size roll cages or tubing will the SxS mount fit?
  Our SxS mount is designed with a universal clamping system that includes precision spacers to fit almost any round-tube frame. It is compatible with the following diameters:2.0" (Common on High Performance Can-Am and Polaris )1.75" (Common on Polaris RZR, Honda Talon, Kawasaki Teryx, Yamaha)1.5" (Common on smaller UTVs and SXS)1.25" and 1.0" (Common on Grab Handles, ATV racks, handlebars, and custom brush guards)
• Is it difficult to switch between tube sizes?
  Not at all. We provide the necessary hardware and spacers to ensure a snug, "no-slip" fit regardless of which size you are mounting to. This makes it easy to move your Sidekick from a 2" roll cage to a 1.0" grab handle if your setup changes.
• Does the mount stay secure on smaller 1" tubing?
  Yes. Unlike "one-size-fits-all" velcro straps that can slide, our mechanical clamp maintains constant pressure. Even on the smaller 1" or 1.25" rails typical of ATV racks, the mount remains rigid and prevents your firearm from bouncing or rotating during high-speed travel.

Installation & Security

• Do I need to drill holes in my truck to install this?
  No. One of our primary design goals was a "no-damage" installation. Our mounts utilize existing factory mounting points or secure friction-fit designs that do not require drilling into your vehicle’s metal or plastic panels.
• How long does installation take?
  Most customers have their Sidekick installed and ready for the field in under 10 minutes. Each order comes with a detailed instruction guide.
• Is my firearm secure on rough terrain?
  Absolutely. We tested our prototypes in the rugged terrain of Eastern Montana and Central Washington. The mount is engineered to eliminate rattling and keep your firearm vertical and secure, even on washboard roads and off-road trails. Hunters all around the US and Canada have durability tested the Sidekick with no failures experienced.

Materials & Durability

• What are the mounts made of?
  We don't use standard hobby-grade plastics. Our mounts are manufactured using high-strength, industrial-grade composites, including glass-fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced materials. These are chosen specifically for their UV resistance and ability to withstand the high temperatures of a locked truck in the summer.
• Will the mount scratch my rifle or my door?
  No. We use protective contact points (such as high-grade TPU) that provide a soft-touch grip for your firearm while protecting your vehicle’s interior from scuffs.
